Our tips for an inspiring visit to Maastricht

For our annual team trip, the Manhave crew headed south to sunny Maastricht. We soaked up the culture, Limburg’s warm hospitality, the unmistakable Burgundian vibes – and of course a touch of the river Meuse. Yes, the Meuse… something we Rotterdam folk feel a connection with too. Maastricht, thank you for the inspiration!

With our heads full of fresh impressions and our bags packed with great memories, we returned to Rotterdam. Here’s our itinerary – perhaps it will inspire your own trip.

Day 1 – City Stroll & Culture

• Begin your visit with coffee and a slice of authentic Limburg vlaai at Van Wijck.

• Discover the city on foot and by bike with a guided tour from Alde Caerte Maastricht – including a leisurely lunch on the beautiful Sint Pietersberg at Buitengoed Slavante.

• Round off the day with dinner at Harry’s Maastricht, then explore one of the many inviting cocktail or wine bars such as Founders Bar, Mr. Smith, or Café Sjiek

Day 2 – Relaxing on the Water

• Enjoy a stylish breakfast at Townhouse Hotel Maastricht.

• Take to the river Meuse yourself with a sloop from Rederij Stiphout – drink in hand, sun on your face.

• Afterwards, savour a leisurely lunch at Restobar Lure on Grote Looiersstraat.

Maastricht is a fantastic choice for a weekend getaway – highly recommended!
